Padilha: expectation is to vote on the urgency of the fiscal milestone tomorrow and on merit next week

The Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, said, this Tuesday (16), that the government’s expectation is that the urgency of the fiscal framework can be voted on Wednesday (17), and the merit, in the next week. According to him, this calendar has the endorsement of party leaders, including the opposition.

“The expectation is that we can, in fact, vote, fulfill what was established in the agreement with leaders on the day of yesterday, at the meeting of the leaders with the president of the Chamber, we can vote on the urgency of the fiscal milestone tomorrow and work on the merits vote next week”, said the minister, after meeting with leaders of the MDB and ministers appointed by the party on Tuesday. “I have heard from leaders, also from parties that declare themselves to be in opposition, the desire to be together in the voting, either in the urgent request, or on the merits.”

In the expectation of the government in relation to Congress, Padilha said he spoke with the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), yesterday so that the vote on the provisional measures (MPs) of the previous government in the Senate could be concluded until next week.

In relation to recent defeats of the federal government, Padilha said that the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, and the Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, have played a role in clarifying the senators’ doubts about the sanitation decrees. “Right now, the government’s effort is to clarify”, he reinforced.
